Knight-Wisdom narrowly misses out on final at World Aquatics Championships

Jamaica's Pan American Games silver medallist Yona Knight Wisdom narrowly missed out on the final of the 3m springboard at the ongoing World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday.

Knight Wisdom tallied 368.95 points to end 14th in the semi-finals, 2 spots outside of a place in the final. 

The 28 year old's best score came on his 5th dive where he scored 71.75 points but ultimately he paid the price for only tallying 34 points on his 4th dive.

Knight Wisdom also had scores of 65.10, 66, 67.50 and 64.60 on his other 4 dives.

China went on to take gold and silver in the final with Zongyuan Wang winning with 538.70 points and Siyi Yie getting the runner-up spot with 516.10 points. Mexico's Osmar Olvera took bronze with 498.40 points.
