Lee heads World Jnr team

Reigning world junior 100 metre champion Dexter Lee heads a 38 member squad announced Thursday for the world junior championships set for July 19 to 25 in Moncton, Canada.

Lee, will captain the 20 member boys squad which also include outstanding shott and discus throwers Chad Wright and Traves Smikle, top distance runner Kemoy Campbell and young Carifta under-17 double sprint champion Odean Skeen.

National junior discus record holder Candicea Bernard heads a strong 18 member girls’ squad which also include top distance runner Natoya Goule, quarter miler Jody Ann Muir, hurdlers Ristanna Tracey and Danielle Cowie and sprinter Deandre Whitehorne who is returning from injury.

The team will guided by head coach, Julian Robinson, technical leader, Raymond Graham and manager, Alfred Francis.
