Stakeholders are welcoming the move by promoting company Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL) to have more jockeys from overseas come and ride on big days.
A week ago at the 104th running of the Jamaica Derby, three international jockeys, Edgard Zayas, Angel Cruz and Jeiron Jarbosa rode at Caymanas Park.
Cruz and Jarbosa who are based at Laurel Park, won a race each. Several overseas riders are expected back in Jamaica for the third running of the ultra-rich Mouttet Mile in early December.
