One of Jamaica's sporting trailblazers, Richard Russell, has died. Russell died on Wednesday, three days after being admitted to hospital with pneumonia. He was 79 years of age.
Russell is the only Jamaican to progress past the first round at all four tennis Grand Slam tournaments, the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.
He became the nation's youngest All-Jamaica Open champion at the age of 16.
