Last season's National Basketball League MVP Kemar McLeish of Majesty Gardens and Andrew Whilby of champions Tivoli Wizards, will join Jamaica’s men's team at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Puerto Rico.
The Jamaicans are out for redemption after being eliminated at the group stage of Centro Basketball Tournament in the Dominican Republic.
Whilby is looking to make an impact among the overseas based players in the competition.
“I want to get the experience. I want to see if I can play as good there as I play (in Jamaica), meaning I’d like to get as many rebounds as I can and dominate in the areas that I dominate here in Jamaica,” he said.
Jamaica will open their campaign against Puerto Rico in the men's preliminaries on Sunday.
