Manchester Spurs and St Catherine Racers will meet in Sunday's final of the Red Stripe Flavours Elite Netball League after grabbing semi-final wins on Friday at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
Manchester Spurs dismissed Kingston Hummingbirds 58-37 in their semifinal contest. Spurs who have lost only once this season, were at it from the start and quickly rushed to a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter.
By the end of the third quarter, the Spurs opened a 20 goal gap at 45-25. 13 more goals in the fourth quarter saw the title favorites come away winners.
Spurs will face Racers in the final after the St Catherine franchise got the better of the St James Sharpes 52-45 in their semi-final match-up.
It was the Sharpes who bolted from the blocks and took a 14-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
However, the Racers would however get back into the contest after a 16 goal second quarter performance to lead 28-25 at half time.
A 9-8 third quarter run from the Sharpes saw them trailing by two goals 34-36 heading into the final period, but it wasn’t to be as the Racers held on for victory 52-45.
