The Dallas Mavericks are the 2011 NBA champions.
Avenging their finals loss to the Miami Heat five years ago, the Mavericks beat their more fancied opponent 105 – 95 in game 6 to wrap up the best of seven series 4 – 2 and claim their first NBA title in their 31 year history.
Jason Terry led the Mavericks with 27 points, while Dirk Nowitski scored 21.
Nowitski also won the Bill Russell finals MVP Award.
Lebron James top scored for Miami with 21 points.
