McLeod makes winning return after lengthy absence

2016 Olympic champion Omar McLeod in his first sprint hurdles race since April of last year, won the event at the 13th Savona International, a World Continental Silver meet on Wednesday in Italy.

McLeod clocked 13.37 seconds to win ahead of Joshua Zeller from Great Britain 13.42 and Enrique Llopis 13.43 seconds.

In the women's equivalent, compatriot Brittany Anderson also returning from injury this season clocked a season's best 12.88 crossing the line ahead of Sarah Lavin of Ireland and Elisa Maria Dilazzaro of Italy.
