Mel Spence sends letter of resignation to Tennis Jamaica

Tennis Jamaica president John Azar has confirmed that Jamaica's Davis Cup captain Mel Spence has sent a letter of resignation to the sport's local governing body.

Some sources within the association are still perplexed as to Spence's silence on issues arising from the Davis Cup in September.

Radio Jamaica Sports sources say Tennis Jamaica now feel hamstrung by Spence's silence on the issues as they are not able to investigate the matters further without his input. Spence could not be reached for comment up to sports time on Saturday.
