Jamaica's Olympic and World Championship sprint relay gold medallist Michael Frater is to be inducted into the Texas Christian University, TCU, sports Hall of Fame in the USA.
Frater attended TCU between 2001 and 2005.
Frater won several all American titles including the 2002 conference outdoor track and field athlete of the year. He won five all American titles while at TCU.
Frater earned a Political Science degree at TCU with a minor in history, and was in 2003 named an academic all American.
Frater won the silver medal in the men's 100 meters at the 2005 World Championship in Helsinki and was 6th in the same event at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
He was a member of the world record Jamaica men's sprint relay teams which included the incomparable Usain Bolt in the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and the World Championships in Berlin in 2009.
