Jamaicans may be able to see quarter-milers Javon 'Donkey Man' Francis and Shericka Jackson on the same relay team after the International Olympic Committee announced that there will be a mixed relay for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
This will be one of the many mixed gender events to make the games more youthful, urban and include more females, according to IOC President Thomas Bach.
Mixed Relays were recently introduced at the Nitro Athletics Series in Australia as well as the IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas. There will also be mixed gender events in swimming, table tennis and triathlon.
Tokyo will have five more sports than Rio, taking the total to 33 including the introduction of freestlye BMX.
