Mount Pleasant Academy now has own playing surface

After a year and a half of opening the door to the first football school in Jamaica, Mount Pleasant Academy is finally now boasting their own playing surface. The outfit has put in place another piece of the jig saw puzzle on their way to creating the perfect facility at their St Ann-based school.

This was the vision of Englishman and CEO Peter Gould and he and his wife Amanda have watched as the dream of bringing a European-style football academy to Jamaica became a reality. Among those at the recent opening was national head coach Theodore "Tappa" Whitmore, who noted that the vision of those who started mount pleasant academy should not be lost but nurtured. Over 100 students are now enrolled at the school.
