Mount Pleasant FA miss chance to go second in JPL table

Caribbean Cup champions Mount Pleasant FA missed an opportunity to go second in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) table after being held to a 0-0 draw by Treasure Beach FC at the Drax Hall Sports Complex in one of two rescheduled games on Wednesday. It was the second meeting between the two teams in three days, following their 0-0 draw on Sunday at Steths. 

Montego Bay United are out front on 46 points, while Mount Pleasant FA are 4th on 38, just one point behind Racing and Portmore United. Treasure Beach on 22 points, are 6 clear of the rlegation zone.

In the other rescheduled game, Chapelton Maroons endd a 4 game winless run by clipping Molynes United 1-0 at Turners Oval, courtesy of an 86th minute strike by substitute Levaughn Williams.

The result has moved Chapelton one place up to 8th on 29 points, the same as defending champions Cavalier and Arnett Gardens.

However, Cavalier and Arnett have superior goal differences. Thursday's lone game will see Dunbeholden hosting Arnett Gardens starting at 3:00 pm.
