Mount Pleasant remain 8 points clear of Arnett Gardens on JPL table

Leaders Mount Pleasant FA remain 8 points clear of second place Arnett Gardens following their 1-0 win over Waterhouse at Drax Hall in Thursdays' resumed action of the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League (JPL).

Daniel Green got the all-important goal in the first minute of play to move the former champions to 65 points.

Led by a double from Stephen Barnett, Humble Lion won only their fourth game, of the season, with a narrow 3-2 win over Tivoli Gardens at the Effortville Community Centre.

The hosts opened the scoring on the stroke of half time through Afiba Chambers. Barnett doubled Humble Lion's advantage in the 70th minute. Janoi Williams got Tivoli back in the game three minutes later. However, Barnett returned for his second in the 76th minute.

Roshawn Oldfield got Tivoli's other goal in minute 83, however they could not find an equalizer. Humble Lion on 21 points, still remain in the relegation zone in 13th, while Tivoli remain 8th on 32 points.

Meanwhile, a Tajay Grant 51st minute strike was enough to give Racing United a 1-0 win over Dunbeholden in the Portmore derby, the first game of a double header at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

Racing remain 7th on 37 points, while Dunbeholden are 9th on 32 points.

Hosts Montego Bay United clipped Harbour View 1-0 at the Montego Bay Sports Complex courtesy of a 70th minute strike by Jourdaine Fletcher.

The late kick off at Tony Spaulding Sports Complex, Arnett Gardens cut Mount Pleasant's lead back to eight, hammering Chapelton Maroons 5-0 with a double from Fabian Reid.
