Veteran coach Winston Nevers is threatening to withdraw newly-crowned champions Jamalco from next year's Supreme Ventures Netball Jamaica Major League competition, citing unfair advantage handed to beaten finalists Rockerz.

Although winning the title, Nevers has blasted Netball Jamaica for allowing Rockerz to have more elite players than other teams in this year's competition. Elite players are those classified as national players or former national players who retired within the last 3 years.

Meanwhile, as per the rules of the competition, each team in the Major League is allowed to have up to 5 elite players, but only 4 can play in a single match.

Radio Jamaica Sports understands that Rockerz team included one player who plays for the St Vincent and the Grenadines national team. Jamalco narrowly defeated rockers 46-45 in the Major League final over the weekend.
