Patriarch to miss entire local classic campaign

The most exciting 2 year old colt on show at Caymanas Park last year, will miss the entire 2018 classic campaign becausae of injury. The Anthony ‘Baba’ Nunes-trained Patriarch who captured the first two legs of the Supreme Ventures 2 Year Old Series last year, produced a dismal performance in the final leg of the series on Boxing Day.

It was later discovered that he had a chip in the left knee and a fracture in the right knee. The surgery is expected to be done later this month. Patriarch is not expected to return to the track before August.

Meanwhile, the maximum field of 16 will face the starter in Saturday's Overnight Allowance contest over 6 furlongs.
