Former world 100m record holder Asafa Powell has been confirmed to compete at the Paris Diamond League meet on July 5, just days before his doping ban appeal is heard before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS.
Powell, who is also set to compete at Jamaica's National Championships starting on Thursday June 26, is free to compete pending the outcome of his doping appeal before CAS.
Powell's former MVP teammate and Beijing Olympic 100m silver medalist, Sherone Simpson, is also free to compete until her hearing before the CAS as well.
Both athletes tested positive for the banned stimulant Oxilofrine in the National Championships last year.
They have appealed the 18-month suspension imposed by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel, asking the CAS to reduce the sentence to three months.
The CAS hearings are set for July 7 and 8.
