Reggae Boyz to begin World Cup qualifying campaign at home

Jamaican football fans will get to see the Reggae Boyz in action at the National Stadium in their first World Cup qualifying match of the second round on June 6. The Boyz will face Dominican Republic in the opening match of their World Cup quest.

The Heimir Hallgrimsson led team will then play fellow Caribbean team Dominica away on June 9.

Their next match will be on June 7, 2025 against either the US Virgin Islands or the British Virgin Islands away from home. The nation will then play Guatemala in their final group game on June 10, 2025 at the National Stadium.

In this round, the top two teams from the six groups will advance to the third and final round. Once in the final round, the 12 teams will be divided into three groups of four.

Each team will play each other home and away, playing a total of six matches. The three group winners from the final round will then qualify directly for the FIFA World Cup 2026, joining hosts Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The two best runners-up will also have a chance to make it to FIFA's showpiece when they play in a FIFA playoff tournament.
