Reggae Girlz lose to France in friendly international

Voice of Reggae Girlz head coach Hubert Busby Jr

Jamaica's Reggae Girlz went down 3-0 to home team France in their friendly international on Friday. Playing without top midfielder Drew Spence, who sustained an injury in the team's last training session, the Girlz were outclassed in the contest.

It didn't take France who dominated with 75 percent of ball possession, to take the lead, as they were in front from the 22nd minute through Clara Mateo.

The Jamaicans headed into the half 2-0 down after Wendie Renard punished them further in the 39th minute.

Three minutes after the restart, there were more problems for the Reggae Girlz, Sandie Baltimore making it 3-0 to kill off the contest.

The Reggae Girlz will next host 50th ranked South Africa on November 29 and December 2 at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
