Rudolph Speid, a former Kingston & St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) President, is now President of the Jamaica Volleyball Association (JAVA).
Speid was elected unopposed at the JAVA annual general meeting, held at the office of the Jamaica Olympic Association’s headquarters on Monday evening.
Speid's election follows the resignation of incumbent president Steve Brown late last month. This came half-way through his two-year term.
Speid served as President of KSAFA from 2008, until losing to Ambassador Stewart Stephenson, by a vote of 36-42 on August 2 this year.
