Russell and Powell confirmed for Abu Dhabi T10 League

Andre Russell and Rovman Powell are the only two Jamaicans so far to be confirmed for the Abu Dhabi T10 League in the United Arab Emirates next month.

Russell and Powell will suit up for the Northern Warriors franchise with Russell as the icon player. This will be Russell's third season with the Warriors, while it will be the second season for Powell with the franchise.

The other West Indian players confirmed for the T10 League in January are: Andre Fletcher, Johnson Charles, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Evin Lewis, Sherfane Rutherford, Rayad Emrit, Nicholas Pooran and Lendl Simmons.

The trio of Emrit, Simmons and Pooran will join the Jamaican duo of Russell and Powell at the Warriors franchise.
The 4th edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League is set to bowl off on January 28 and end on February 6.

Meanwhile, Andre Russell has been named in the Lankan Premier League team of the season followings the final on Wednesday. Russell produced the most devastating and memorable innings of the IPL when he came in to open in a rain-reduced five-over match, hitting 9 fours  and 4 sixes in a 19-ball undefeated knock of 65.
