National forward Samardo Samuels got his longest run on court since signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but could not prevent a 112-57 defeat by NBA champions LA Lakers on Tuesday night at the Staples Centre.
Samuels got an extended run of 33 minutes, but only scored three points and six rebounds.
It was Cleveland's lowest score ever, and the worst margin of defeat in the NBA since Indiana Pacers clobbered the Portland Trailblazers 124-59 in 1998.
The Pacers, with eight points and eight rebounds from Jamaican centre Roy Hibbert Jr. defeated Philadelphia 76ers, 111-103.
