Legendary West Indies captain Sir Clive Lloyd has weighed on the resignation of test skipper Kraigg Brathwaite and singled out the player who he would like to see leading the test team in the immediate future.

Speaking to Radio Jamaica Sports from London on Monday, legendary skipper Sir Clive Lloyd singled out ODI skipper Shai Hope as a possible option to replace Brathwaite as the test captain.

From 39 matches as captain, Brathwaite won 10, lost 22 and drew 7 matches for a 26 percentage win rate.

The first assignment for Brathwaite's replacement will be a three test series against Australia in the Caribbean later this year. Cricket West Indies (CWI) says a new captain will be named in the coming weeks.
