St. Jago and Edwin Allen High Schools are on course to defending their respective boys and girls titles on the second and final day of the central high schools track and field championships at the G C Foster College.
After 27 finals, St. Jago leads the boys standings with 168 points ahead of Holmwood Technical, which has 104.50 points, Edwin Allen with 80.50 and Manchester with 69.
And Edwin Allen leads the girls standing after the completion of 35 finals.
They are on 323 points, ahead of Holmwood with 266.50 points, Vere Technical with 209 and St. Jago 207.50 points.
The highlight of the day was a new national junior record of 1.88 metres set by Edwin Allen’s Kimberly Williamson.
She beat favourite Chanice Porter of Manchester, who also went under the previous record with a personal best of 1.80 metres.
