Sunshine Girls crushed by Roses in first game of Vitality Horizon series

Head coach of the Sunshine Girls Sasher-Gaye Henry-Wright believes her team paid the price of being too careless in possession as the Jamaicans went down 80-37 to the England Roses in the first of two games in the Horizon Vitality netball series in London on Saturday.

The Jamaicans were blown away from the start as they found themselves 9-22 down at the end of the first quarter.
The Sunshine Girls managed to keep England to three fewer goals in the second quarter, but the deficit was still a sizeable one with the hosts 41-18 ahead at the half.

Little changes in the second half as England proved two dominant for the visitors, outscoring them 19-10 and 20-9 over the next two quarters.

Wright is hoping for an improved performance from the world number 3 ranked Jamaicans in the second game on Sunday also at the Copper Box Arena.
