The Sunshine Girls were swept 3-0 by Australia in their test series after going down to a heavy 80-33 defeat to the “Diamonds” in Melbourne on Thursday morning Jamaica time.
The third test was Australia's biggest victory of the series, and Jamaica's lowest score of the three games in a disappointing finish.
For the third successive match, the Sunshine Girls were blown away from the start, as they stared down a 18-6 first quarter deficit from which they never recovered. That lead quickly resulted in a 35-18 half-time advantage for the Australians.
The Jamaicans went down 71-41 and 73-41 in the first two encounters. The Jamaicans finished with a worrying 32 turnovers in what was their final test before the Commonwealth Games, set for July 23 to August 2 in Glasgow.
