Batsman James Taylor and bowler Chris Tremlett will be looking to end year-long exiles, upon being recalled to England's squad for the third Ashes Test in Manchester.
Taylor, who played two tests last year, is cover for Kevin Pietersen whose recovery from an ankle injury is being monitored. Tremlett hasn't played a test in 18 months because of injuries. The other returnee, Panesar, thinks he has made a case for inclusion in the starting line-up on Thursday.
Steven Finn and Graham Onions are the players dropped.
