Treasure Beach upset Portmore United in JPL action

Treasure Beach FC marked their return to the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) with a 2-0 win over the high-flying Portmore United at Steths on Sunday. Jhanni Flemmings put them in front in the 62nd minute with Kevon McGregor adding the other goal in second half stoppage time. Treasure Beach are 11th on 12 points, while Portmore United are third on 24.

Meanwhile, Racing United have jumped to the summit of the league after playing out a 0-0 all draw with Harbour View at Ferdie Nieta Park. Racing moved to 26 points, the same as Montego Bay United, but the Portmore-based team have a better goal difference.

Elsewhere, Mount Pleasant FA blanked Spanish Town Police 5-0 at Drax Hall. The CONCACAF Caribbean Cup champions remain 4th on 19 points, while Spanish Town Police continue to hold up the 14 team league on 5 points.

In other games on the day, Montego Bay United's woes continue with a 1-0 loss to Waterhouse, defending champions Cavalier enjoyed a 3-0 win against Chapelton Maroons, while Dunbeholden clipped Tivoli Gardens 1-0.
