There were two Jamaican winners at the Maniak Memorial meet, a World Athletics Continental Tour bronze meet, held in Poland on Wednesday. 2023 World Championship sprint relay bronze medallist Ryiem Forde was the overall winner of the men's 100m timed final. He clocked 10.07 seconds to win heat 'A' of the men's 100m ahead of Kadrian Goldson, 10.10 seconds.
The other winner on the day was national 200m champion Bryan Levell. He was also the overall winner, after taking heat 'A' of the event in 20.26 ahead of World Champs mile relay silver medallist Christopher Taylor, 20.35 and Goldson, 20.44.
Taylor, who ended second at the National Championship, is yet to make the 20.16 World Champs automatic qualifying time, but is currently part of the world rankings quota.
In the meantime, reigning 400m world champion Antonio Watson was a winner at the Watford Open meet in England on Wednesday.
Watson posted 46.07 seconds to win ahead of the Great Britain pair of Thomas Abbott, 49.08 and Sam Jones, 49.59.
This is Watson's fifth 400m race of the season, with his season's best 45.24 seconds, coming at the Ed Murphey Classic in July, where he placed second.
