Wavell Hinds changes team direction in Indian Cricket League

The former Jamaica skipper Wavell Hinds will now play for the Ahmedebad Rockets instead of the Chandigarh Lions in the Indian Cricket League which is not endorsed by the International Cricket Council.

Thirty-one year old Hinds, who resigned from international as well as regional cricket last week, was initially set to play with the Lions, the club of New Zealand's Chris Cairns and Daryl Tuffey and South Africa's Andrew Hall.

However Hinds will now be playing alongside Australia's Damien Martyn and Jason Gillespie and Zimbabwe's Heath Streak.

The former West Indies skipper Brian Lara is the captain of the Mumbai Champs, however he will not be playing alongside Mervyn Dillon anymore, but will have the Barbadian fast bowler Tino Best as his teammate.
