West
Indies seeking a series clinching draw suffered a setback after making a bright
start in their reply to England's big first innings total in the fifth and
final test at Queens Park Oval.
Replying to 546 for six declared, the home team who lead the series 1-nil were 92 for one at the close of play on the second day.
Devon Smith was bowled in the penultimate over of the day by Monty Panesar leaving captain Chris Gayle on 49 and Darren Powell yet to score at the crease.
England resuming on 258 for two added 281 for the loss of four wickets as Paul Collingwood and Matt Prior made centuries.
Collingwood scored his ninth test century of 161 off 288 balls and including 12 fours while Prior, who returned from England where he was with his newborn son for a week, scored his second test century of 131-not out off 198 balls and also including 12 fours.
Prior says conditions look to be changing as they look to bowl out the West Indies.
Lionel Baker was the most successful of the eight bowlers used by the West Indies taking 2-77.
He is confident the West Indies can see this test through to victory.
