"Whisper" Richards signs pre-contract with Chelsea FC

Kingston College standout and Phoenix All Stars player Dujuan “Whisper” Richards has been signed by English Premier League (EPL) club Chelsea FC according to multiple reports.

Richards was reportedly close to joining another EPL club, Newcastle United where he had a recent trial before Chelsea swooped in to sign the talented 17 year old attacker.

According to renowned football journalist and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, director Joe Shields was crucial to the negotiations.

Phoenix All-Stars founder and president Craig Butler announced the signing on his instagram page on Saturday.

Richards, who is currently in Montego Bay with the senior Reggae Boyz team, says he was proud to be signing with the 6-time English top flight champions.
