Olympic sprint relay gold medallist Briana Williams was one of three Jamaican winners at the Pure Athletics Global Invitational held in Florida on Saturday.
Williams clocked a season’s best 11.08 seconds in the women's 100m final to beat Ivorian Mari-Josee Ta Lou-Smith and Germany's Gina Lückenkemper to win her heat and emerge as the overall winner based on times across the three heats. Ryiem Forde took the men’s equivalent in 10.25.
In the men's 200m, Demar Francis was second overall in 20.73, while Shevioe Reid was third with 20.78. In the women's equivalent, Yanique Dayle was third in 23.84 behind Ta lou-Smith.
Leah Anderson of Jamaica stormed to victory in the women's 400m, clocking 51.63 to finish comfortably ahead of American Kennedy Simon (52.46).
