Jamaica's Assinie Wilson was a second place finisher in the men's 400 metre hurdles at the Edmonton Athletics Invitational meet in Canada. Wilson clocked 49.03 seconds behind American winner Caleb dean in 48.08 seconds.
Wilson has already achieved the World Championship qualifying standard in the event after clocking 48.42 for the runner-up spot at the National Championships.
Many time national shot put champion and national record holder Danniel Thomas-Dodd was also second in her pet event at the meet.
Thomas-Dodd threw 18.83 metres to finish behind Canada's Sarah Mitton who registered 19.46 metres to win.
