Windies halt wretched run in T20 Internationals

The West Indies have halted their wretched run in T20 Internationals after recording a nervy 2 wicket victory over Pakistan in the second game at Lauderhill in Florida on Saturday night. Pakistanis who elected to bat, were restricted to 133-9.

Hasan Nawaz topscored with 40, while Salman Agha got 38 and Fakhar Zaman 20 against Jason Holder who bagged 4-19 tu surpass Dwayne Bravo as the West Indies’ leading wicket taker in T20 Internationals.

The Windies in their chase, of 134, ended on 135-8 to record their first win 10 home games this summer.

The West Indies entered the final over needing 8 runs. Gudakesh Motie led the way with 28, while skipper Shai Hope got 21 and Holder an unbeaten 16.

Mohammad Rizwan bagged 3-14 and Saim Ayub 2-20. The final game in the series will be played on Sunday at the same venue.
