West Indies captain Shai Hope is calling for all-round consistency from his team following their 3 wicket defeat to Australia in the 5th and final T20 International at Warner Park in St Kitts on Monday night to lose the series 5-0.
Sent to bat, the Windies were dismissed for 170 in 19.4 overs. Shimron Hetmyer top scored with 52, while Sherfane Rutherford made 35 and Jason Holder 20.
Player of the Match Ben Dwarshuis picked up 3-41 for the Aussies. In reply, Australia posted 173-7 in 17 overs to achieve victory and in the process became the first team in T20 International to win a series 5-0.
Mitchell Owen top scored with 37 from 17 deliveries. Player of the Series Cameron Green also made 32.
Akeal Hossein was the pick of the Windies bowlers, bagging 3-17. The West Indies who were beaten 3-0 in the test series, lost all 8 games to the visitors on their tour of the Caribbean.
Meanwhile, it will be a quick turn-around for the Windies, as they will next face Pakistan in a 3 match T20 International series starting on Thursday at Lauderhill in Florida.
