Windies women beat Bangladesh women to win ODI series

The West Indies women defeated Bangladesh women by 8 wickets in the third and final One Day International, a day/night encounter at Warner Park in St Kitts, earlier this evening to win the series 2-1. Bangladesh women were first dismissed for 118 in 43.5 overs.

Sharmin Akter top scored with 37, while Sobhana Mostary made 25 and Fargana Hoque Pinky 22. Player of the Match Karishma Ramharack took a career best 4-12, while Zaida James had 2-15.

In reply, the West Indies women coasted to 122-2 in 27.3 overs to achieve victory. Qiana Joseph top scored with 39 off 66 balls including 5 fours, while Deandra Dottin blasted an unbeaten 33 off 19 deliveries with 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Shemaine Campbelle also chipped in with 25, while captain Hayley Matthews made 22 for the Caribbean women.  

Ramharack was also named Player of the Series.
