Barbados and the
Windward Islands completed victories over Guyana and the Leeward Islands
respectively on third day of the fifth round West Indies regional 4 day competition
on Sunday.
Barbados beat Guyana by an innings and 59 runs late in the afternoon on their home turf at Windward Cricket Club.
They are now on 39 points, 3 behind defending champions Jamaica who will resume their title defence away to Guyana on Friday.
The Jamaican squad, inclusive of Xavier Marshall will have a net session at the Kensington Oval on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Windward Islands beat the Leeward Islands by seven wickets before tea at the Beausejour Stadium in St. Lucia.
The Leeward's trailing by 239 runs and resuming on 203 for 6, were dismissed for 283 as Kevin James finished with 4 for 38 and Darren Sammy with 2 for 35.
The Windward's then secured victory at 47 for 2 and are now on 36 points.
And the Combined Campuses and Colleges, trailing Trinidad and Tobago by 47 runs on first innings, reached 43 for two at the close of a rain-hit third day.
