Young Reggae Boys not up for selection in match against Venezuela

National coach Theodore 'Tappa' Whitemore says Jamaica’s senior football team, which is preparing for the Gold Cup will be missing a number of younger players.

The senior Reggae Boyz will play Venezuela in a friendly international on March 25 as part of their preparation for the Gold Cup.

Whitemore explained, that despite the call for younger talent to be included in the squad this might not be possible for the Gold Cup.

"We just saw the under-17 (team) qualify for the World Cup and we just sent off the under-20 (team) to Brazil to prepare for (CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers), so basically, most of our younger talents are away and there’s not a lot we can do at this time," Whitmore said.
