Young Reggae Boyz make winning start at CONCACAF final round WCQs

Jamaica's Under-17 Reggae Boyz began their campaign at the final round of  the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers with a 3-1 win against St Lucia in Guatemala on Monday.

Seymour Reid opened the scoring for the Jamaicans in the 12th minute, as they went into the break with a 1-0 lead. Dario White added the second goal in the 50th minute, before Jahmarie Nolan added the third 4 minutes later.
Shevon Bryan got St Lucia's consolation in minute 73.

The young Reggae Boyz will next take on the Cayman Islands on Wednesday.

The Jamaicans who need to win the group to advance to the FIFA Youth World Cup later this year, are however second in the group on goal difference, as El Salavador opened their account with an 8-0 drubbing of the Cayman Islands in the other group game on Monday.
