Opposition Leader Andrew Holness says he has no fear of being interviewed by the police, after he made a sweeping statement which angered Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller last week about her government's handling of crime.
The Prime Minister recently called for the Police High Command to look into statements made by the Opposition Leader who stated that there was an apparent increase in crime since the Peoples National Party took office last month. But speaking at a G2K Forum in Mandeville, Manchester Thursday night, Mr. Holness said he was not afraid of being investigated for the statements he made. The Opposition Leader insisted that the Peoples National Party government has a poor record of managing crime. And the Opposition Leader says there is no need for a new crime plan to be presented to the country, because the one left by the former administration is an effective tool to keep criminals at bay.
