Processing of the first batch of 200 Jamaicans from the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's Adventure of the Seas has been completed.
They disembarked the ship, docked at the Falmouth pier in Trelawny, and were processed in groups of 20.
Some of the crew members have already been taken to the Bahia Principe Hotel in St. Ann, where they will await the results of their test for COVID-19.
Matthew Samuda, Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of National Security, said the process went according to plan.
He said each person filled out a health questionnaire then did their COVID swab before boarding Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) buses to be transported to the hotel in St. Ann.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jacquiline Bisasor McKenzie had said on Wednesday at a Health Ministry ppress conference that the persons being allowed off first are those considered to be of high priority, including those with medical illnesses.
