The Narcotics Police Division made a multi-million dollar drug bust in St Elizabeth on the weekend.
2,500 pounds of ganja with a street value of approximately US$3 million or JMD$460 million was seized in the operation conducted in the district of Bethany on Friday.
In a statement, the Narcotics police said its team of officers raided a stash house in the area and seized several bags with the compressed ganja.
The police say the drug was being prepared for the export market.
No one was arrested during the operation.
The Narcotics police say the seizure is a significant dent in the guns for drugs trade along the southwest coast of Jamaica.
