Police are now combing through sections of the Half Way Tree area in St. Andrew for a prisoner who escaped from the Half Way Tree police lock-up Friday afternoon.
It's reported that the prisoner, who was awaiting trial for robbery, climbed onto the roof of the lock-up, jumped onto the compound of a nearby high school and made his escape.
The police were seen searching the compound of the institution.
