Senator Kerensia Morrison
Senator Kerensia Morrison will represent the Jamaica Labour Party in the constituency of St. Catherine North East in the next general election.
Senator Morrison was on Tuesday endorsed during a meeting of the constituency executive.
She will replace Leslie Campbell, who in 2016, won the seat by 122 votes.
A statement from Henry Fisher, Vice Chairman of the St. Catherine North East constituency, said he sought to assure the meeting that Mr. Campbell was not pushed out and will be supporting Senator Morrison.
Mr. Campbell told The Gleaner that he was replaced because some supporters, especially those in the Guy's Hill area, made repeated claims to the party that he was not attending to the needs of the constituency.
