Controversial Muslim cleric Sheikh Abdullah el-Faisal was on Thursday extradited to the United States to answer terrorism related charges.
el-Faisal has been indicted by the New York City Police Department on five counts of terrorism.
On July 29, Justice Minster Delroy Chuck signed a surrender warrant to the US for el-Faisal.
The Muslim cleric is accused of using the internet to persuade individuals around the world to travel to Syria to take up the cause of the jihad or the fight against the enemies of Islam.
US prosecutors say they have audio recordings of him recruiting an undercover cop.
el-Faisal was jailed in the UK in 2003 for three counts related to soliciting murder and stirring up racial hatred.
He was released in 2007 and deported to Jamaica.
