Chapelton Maroons switched places with Humble Lion in the standings of the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League after defeating them 2-1 at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex on Thursday.
Chapelton Maroons opened the scoring in the first minute of play courtesy of Javel Ellis. Damari Deacon doubled the advantage in the 15th minute. Humble Lion's consolation came in the 26th minute.
After recording their sixth win of the season, Chapelton moved to 12th on 24 points, while Humble Lion fell to 13th on 24.
In the day's other game, third placed Montego Bay United recorded a 5-0 whipping of Molynes United at the Montego Bay Sports Complex, with Jourdain Fletcher getting a hattrick.
