With Zimbabwe placed on Jamaica's African travel ban list the Jamaican members of the West Indies women's team  will have to undergo state supervised quarantine upon their return to the country.

Zimbabwe is among eight African countries put on the list published today following the emergence of the new variant of the Covid-19 virus.

Captain Stafanie Taylor, Chedean Nation, Rashada Williams and Chinelle Henry are the Jamaican members of the West Indies women's team who were participating in the ICC Women's World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe.

It’s understood the Windies women will head to Dubai before heading back to the Caribbean.

Speaking with Radio Jamaica Sports on Saturday, Minister of Health Dr Christopher Tufton explained that the Jamaican members of the Windies women's team will be allowed to return home.
