JRDC chairman hoping to get racing back on track soon

Voice of JRDC chairman Junior Barnes

Chairman of the Jamaica Race Drivers Club (JRDC), Junior Barnes says insufficient time to comply with vaccine requirements is the reason they did not get clearance for their proposed race meet at the Dover Raceway.

Organizers were hoping to get approval for a meet on February 27 and Barnes was confident their protocols would have been given the greenlight by the government, but they were thrown a curve ball at the last minute, as all participants and officials were required to be fully vaccinated.

Barnes says with a number of the drivers not yet being vaccinated, he's hoping that they will react favourably so as to get the sport back on track.
