British singer Adele has been given the thumbs up from a number of Jamaican entertainers for her representation of the Jamaican colours in her latest social media post.
In the picture, Adele sports a traditional Bantu knot hairstyle, called "Chiney bumps" in Jamaica, a Jamaican flag bikini top, with elaborate jewellery and yellow feather wings.
The photo was taken during the Notting Hill carnival in London over the weekend.
Among those approving the post are rapper Stefflon Don, who is of Jamaican heritage and dancehall deejay Popcaan.
The 54 year old holiday tradition in London is organised by members of the British West Indian community and typically draws several million people for a celebration of Black British culture.
This year, the event went virtual due to COVID-19.
